WIPR Quotes Robert J. Kenney on Effect of Government Shutdown on the ITC

BSKB partner Robert J. Kenney was quoted in a recent World Intellectual Property Review article on the effect of the U.S. government shutdown on cases at the International Trade Commission (ITC). The concern is that the usually tight deadlines at the ITC will not be met once the shutdown ends and operations resume, as a delay in one area will effect other areas. Mr. Kenney is quoted as saying "If the shutdown lasts weeks, it becomes more difficult to recoup these dates...Often, parties are coordinating witnesses, discovery and trial dates, and if you’re litigating you have other dates in court. It throws a lot of people’s strategies into a sense of confusion.”
