U.S. Patent Law Changes to INFOPAT Group

A lecture, entitled “First Inventor to File, Prior Art and Priority under the Leahy-Smith America Invents Act: Transitioning to the New U.S. Patent Law,” will cover the changes to 35 U.S.C. §§ 102 (anticipation) and 103 (obviousness/inventive step) due to the 2011 America Invents Act (AIA). This lecture will also cover §§ 102/103 before and after the effective law date of March 16, 2013, as well as specific topics such as the 1-year grace period, when U.S. patents and patent application publications are available as prior art, and filing by an assignee.
