Release of Draft Bill Text to Reform Section 101 of Patent Act

On May 22, 2019, a group of U.S. Senators and Representatives released a bipartisan and bicameral draft bill to reform Section 101 of the Patent Act. This comes after the release of a framework for Section 101 Reform by the same members of congress in mid-April. This lecture will look at the text of the draft bill and the framework, and discuss the previous court decisions to be addressed by the proposed legislation.
