Chris Wheeler, Associate at BSKB, has 15 years of experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications, managing large patent portfolios, and providing strategic counseling. He has represented a broad range of domestic and foreign clients ranging from individual inventors to large international corporations. He has significant experience with PCT and foreign national-stage prosecution of patents, as well as conducting appeals and oral hearings before the USPTO Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
Chris practices in the areas of chemistry, life science, and biotechnology with an emphasis on batteries, steels, coatings, adhesives, anti-corrosion treatments, pharmaceutical compositions, and therapeutics/diagnostics. He also practices in the areas of mechanical devices and data science. He has lectured on topics including patent prosecution and outcome-driven portfolio strategies.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Cornell University in 1999, before earning his Juris Doctorate from The George Washington University Law School in 2006.
